CD Stack Support / FAQ:

How Do I Install CD Stack?

Quite simply. Download the .DMG file from the download page. When you open it, you will see an icon for CD Stack. Simply drag the icon to your applications folder (or wherever you want to install it). When you are done, you can eject the DMG file from it's mount. Click on the CD Stack icon from it's new location.

How can I update to Java 2 Standard Edition, Version 5.0?

Simply click the apple item in the menu bar of any application (or just your desktop) and select "Software Update". Alternatively, you can open System Preferences and select "Software Update". If you are using OS X 10.4 (Tiger) you will see an option for Java 2 Standard Edition, Version 5.0. Install this update (and any other ones that it recommends) and CD Stack should be ready to go.

I unchecked the option to eject a CD after ripping, and the buttons in the main window stay disabled.

I cannot stop CD Stack from ripping

Please re-download CD Stack. This is a bug in v 1.0, and a fix is in place which addresses these two issues in all later versions. It is OK to copy over the original copy of CD stack, even if you've registered.

iTunes keeps on popping up when I insert a CD. How can I make this stop?

iTunes will bring itself up whenever a new CD is inserted. To prevent this from happening, launch iTunes, and select "Hide iTunes" from the iTunes menu.

CD Stack cannot find my CD information on the internet. What's wrong?

CD Stack will automatically connect to the internet to try to find information about the CDs that you insert. If it cannot find the CD in the Free DB database, it will bring up a blank CD window that you will require you to input all information manually. If CD Stack finds multiple matches for your CD, you will be prompted to select one. If your CD is not on the list, simply click "Not A Match" and you will get the blank window that will require you to manually input the disc information.
